6Inch Bench Vises Tools Vice for Workbench Table Vise for Woodworking DIY Job

I have purchased this vise because it came with a nice wide clamp in order to clamp it to the table. End of the tightening screw for the big clam has a rubber ring so you will not scratch any type of surface you're attaching it to. This kid comes with two sets of bolts want to attach it to the table permanently with nuts and the other one to attach the clamp to the vise. It is a true 6 inch vise. It's not really extremely heavy duty but it will do for smaller jobs in your garage.

I have a very large and heavy vise in my garage but was looking for something for my basement workbench. I've tried some wimpy clamp-on units in the past and they were usually barely up to the tasks for which I needed them. I use my workbench for multiple tasks and hobbies and there are times when a permanently mounted vise would be in the way. The mounting clamp on this vise is much beefier than the others I've tried and most of those wouldn't even fit my thick workbench top. After securing this to my workbench, there is absolutely no wobbling or play. I've used it to saw, drill, tap threads, and hammer on the anvil and it never moves at all. The jaws are perfectly parallel and everything works smoothly. While it's size and heft are necessary to handle what you might throw at it, it's still easy enough to take with you to a job site where you might need it and it works very well clamped to a study sawhorse.
