Don't hesitate. Hard to believe you can get an entire distributor for the price of a cheap cap and rotor from Auto Zone, but it's legit. Dropped it in a 73 Monte Carlo that hasn't ran for decades and she fired instantly. (Update) Dialed in. The vacuum Advance is adjustable. Vacuum advance is a small screwdriver. Loving it. Still can't believe this distributor performs so well. This is a locked in performance distributor. It will only give 10 degrees of mechanical advance. The springs on the weight are pretty heavy and come in about 4200 all in. The weights are unique. I have found no recurve kit that will work. If you wanted to change it, you would need to modify it. Lighter springs will give you 'all in' quicker.

I am a retired auto mechanic. I needed to rebuild the distributor on my Classic 1962 Chevy truck & I ran across this listing at less money than it cost to build mine. I purchased one & was amazed at the quality & machine work. I installed it in my truck & it has worked flawlessly. I have no complaints at all. I will soon be ordering another one just for spare parts as this complete distributor is less expensive than just a cap, rotor & module at the local auto supply. I highly recommend this to everyone!

Love it.It makes this old 1979 350 engine looks like a teenager. Everything fits appropriately, no modifications are needed. START it RIGHT OFF and it runs hella smooth :PBy the way.This Distributor does fit on a 1979 Chevy G20 van.
