I absolutely love the quick button for sliding in and out. It feels very solid and cranks down tight. I didn’t want to drill 1/2” hole mounts in my workbench just yet so I just used construction screws with washers and it is holding up just fine so far. I have no doubt the included 1/2” bolts will be more than sufficient to secure this permanently. I also love that it swivels but the tighteners definitely should have been wing nuts to be able to tighten by hand. You’ll need a wrench on hand to properly tighten it enough to not move.

This is a really good bench/drill press vice for the price. The vice opens a little wider than the advertised 4.25". It clamps down on items well and I don't see any issue with it. It also has a nice feature that allows you to push a button down and slide the vice open or closed so you don't have to sit there spinning the handle forever. Very handy and should offset the swivel issue. The jaw inserts look good. They're a little sharp on the edges and corners. I plan on filing mine down a little just to make sure it's not so easy to tear my hands open on them. They should take care of this before shipping them out. It comes with four large bolts to bolt it to your press or table. They're about 1/2" x 2". Overall, this is a great vice for the money. It'll come in very handy, and fits my Wen bench drill press just fine. I'd have no problems recommending it to others. Hope this helps.

This is a solid and heavy little drill press vise. I measured the opening and it’s just over 4 1/4” and the clamping height is just over 1 1/8”, so I’m glad they were a little generous with the sizes. The 4 mounting bolts with washers that are included are 2 1/4” long by 1/2” wide threads, which fit my drill press for a secure connection. There are 4 mounting points on the vise for these bolts and I only one of the mounting points was too tight for the bolt. I can wiggle the bolt down into the mount point, but it won’t slide in from the outside. A little file work should fix that problem, but they probably need to fix their casting mold. The design of the vise is straight forward and it works well. I especially like the one-click button for quickly moving the jaws together or apart. This is much easier than turning the clamp screw. The 4 mounting points are 90 degrees from each other which means that you probably won’t be able to use all 4 mounting points on a drill press, but that depends on your drill press slots. In most circumstances I could connect at least 2 mounting points, which should be tight enough. The 4 mounting bolts and the 2 bolts to impede the vice from rotating come with regular nuts. It would have been great if they provided the same nuts along with some wing nuts. The wing nuts would have been much easier to tighten the bolts without having to use a wrench. The clamp plates can be removed, which would give you an additional 1/2” of opening for a total of 4 3/4”.

This is a nice 4 inch price for a drill press. It's made out of cast steel. The Bedway on the vise has been surface ground and is true. The vise jaws are hardened and are removable. It comes on a swivel base however there are no graduations on the base to tell how many degrees you are rotating it. IMO I'm gonna just remove the swivel base and just use the vise without it. The vise has a quick release button to be able to adjust the jackscrew quickly. I haven't tried to see it this button will be a weak point when a lot of pressure is applied against it but it work from holding metal or wood secure in it for drilling. For the money this vise is a good quality. I recommend it.
