8Pcs Ground Anchors 1000lbs Earth Anchors for Tents Canopies Sheds 18inch

I ordered these to hold down the frame for an outdoor tree.I did not have a 14mm power driver so ended up driving these in with a rachet wrench and socket set. It took about 1 minute per stake. I am planning on moving this each year, so we'll see how these hold up to repeated use, but so far these stakes are holding fine.The carabiner tops are east to mount once the stake is driven in and there has been zero movement so far. A good start

I ordered these solely for the purpose of using them at the beach, or other similar, sandy areas. I live in Florida, and a lot of the camping areas (on wooded lands) are ridden with roots and obstacles in the substrate that would make it practically impossible to get longer ground anchors installed into (let alone anchors with wide blades such as these). So it only made sense to dedicate them to a more practical cause.
As I expected, these have worked out perfectly in these sandy areas. I was able to drive the anchors down with a driver; I have to use a driver if I install my other ground anchors into denser substrates, so it’s nice that a weaker drill can still get the job done with these in the sand.
They are strong once installed. Very strong. And that is what I was looking for. I plan to do a lot of traveling and camping on the beach in the coming years, and I wanted some anchors that I could not only use in the sand, but ones that could withstand some high winds if a storm were to come through and blow at my tent/canopy. That is exactly what these anchors are capable of.

There are a lot of things to like about these stakes. I particularly like the threaded carabiner that screws into the top. That allows you to easily slip a loop on or off. Very handy, since I use these to hold the tarps on my wood piles. It allows easy access. Since I don't have a drill attachment, I used a 1/2"ratchet with the supplied socket. We have a very hard clay/granite mix and it would not penetrate that mix. But where there was enough top soil it would work fine. More work with the ratchet, than just pounding a normal stake in, though. The auger part should be tapered to the edge, like a screw, to make it easier to insert. Sometimes the auger would just sit in one place spinning on harder soil. When the auger inserted properly, it loosened the soil all the way through insertion, and the shaft showed some wobble until the soil was compressed down again. Still solid enough for my purposes though. I don't think you could easily pull these out under normal use.

I bought these for my husband who does quite a bit of outside activities where these will definitely come in handy. They arrived quickly and were packed well. They also came ready to use. The added carabiners for the end of the anchors are also made very well. We will find out how well once he is able to really put them to the test in a few months on his guys trip in the outback, so stay tuned for the follow-up!So far, we would recommend! The price also seems appropriate for the quality and quantity!

I needed some ground anchors for two different projects and this 8 pack is just what I needed. Four are going to go in a permanent installation to hold some landscaping in place and the rest will go with my portable canopy. I don't think I'll use the carabiner for the permanent instation but I'm sure I can find a common thread bolt to attach what I need.They come with a 14MM socket with a 1/2 inch drive. I happen to have an adapter for my drill so installation and removal is really easy. The carabiner ends will be just what I need to anchor my canopy.They will hold plenty as the tent stakes on steroids I need.
